Entrepreneurs’ Organization celebrates 200 chapters in 2020

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA, USA (8 SEPTEMBER 2020) – Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a high-quality support network of 14,000+ like-minded leaders across 61 countries, is celebrating a new milestone in 2020. With the launch of 2 new chapters this fiscal year - EO Navi Mumbai and EO Odisha – the organization has now reached 200 chapters worldwide.

Achieving this EO milestone mid-pandemic “shows the grit of the entrepreneurial spirit,” remarked EO Odisha, Chapter President, Kabir Taneja. It is inspiring, Taneja says, because, “In these volatile, uncertain times, a bunch of entrepreneurs came together to pursue their hunger for learning and communion, despite all the turbulences, and launched the chapter with high spirits.”

EO Odisha’s launch featured EO champions from across the globe, a keynote session by motivational speaker Jay Shetty and a Money Heist event for added engagement. “The final product was a dream. We are thrilled to be the newest and 200th chapter of EO,” concluded Taneja.

EO Navi Mumbai launched on 15 August with a virtual launch event, themed, L.I.F.E (Learn, Indulge, Fulfill and Engage) that reflected the spirit of EO. The growing chapter has 17 members and recorded an impressive 1,300 attendees at the virtual launch. EO Navi Mumbai, Learning Chair, Pranav Batra reported, “it was an event ‘par excellence’ that created history” and believes “this chapter is going to have a superb impact on the entire region.” He further added, “The launch of this chapter is significant because it brings together entrepreneurs from diverse geographical locations across Mumbai and the members are active, excited and looking forward to their EO journey.”

EO originally launched in 1987 with a mere 22 members under the name YEO – Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Branching out with the World Entrepreneurs’ Organization (WEO), in 1996, it continued connecting and linking those entrepreneurs over 40 who wanted to remain part of the organization. Between 2004 and 2008, YEO and WEO merged into the current Entrepreneurs’ Organization and launched two of its most successful programmes – the EO Accelerator programme and the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards, in addition to widening its global reach through events and learning opportunities worldwide.

This year, EO has entered a new stage of development with its 4.0 strategic plan. This encompasses a rebrand along with redefined purpose, ambition, values and visual identity. The continued transformation and growth of EO and its importance to entrepreneurs worldwide is reflected in this year’s 200 chapter milestone.
